Periodontal disease is the most common disease in dogs and cats and is most commonly overlooked.

I can't say enough about the quality care my pets receive at Veterinary Care of Cuba.  Whether we are in for yearly check-ups or an emergency or illness, we are always treated as if we are the only clients.  I recommend Veterinary Care of Cuba to everyone I know

We have found Dr. Jim Kernahan to be one of the best veterinarians in western New York.  His abilities and compassion coupled with that of his entire staff makes Veterinary Care of Cuba the place to go for your pet care.  We highly recommend them.

Our "Maggie Girl" who we just lost today had many issues, was in many times! The staff and Dr. Mount were wonderful.  All were wonderful at such a difficult time.  Thank you so much!

We welcome you to Veterinary Care of Cuba where our daily mission is to make our hospital the best place for the care of your best friends.  In 2009, Dr. James Kernahan put away his barn boots and hung up his coveralls used in a mixed animal practice in order to focus his talents on small animal care only.  In  January, 2014, Dr. Amy Long-Mount became a partner with Dr. Kernahan.  Their combined experience, wisdom, and genuine love for pets and their parents has made the perfect union.  They both insist their staff exhibit a friendly and caring attitude at all times which creates a pleasant trip to the veterinarian for their patients from entrance to exit.
Veterinary Care of Cuba is located at 10 Center Street, Cuba, New York.   Just look for McDonald’s and we are situated in the plaza next to it.  We are easy to find!
